SATEEN SHIRTINGS
Cotton cloths for men's shirts woven with narrow coloured stripes on a white or cream ground. Fast colours are used and the cloth piece-bleached. Usually made with two-fold warp, such as 33-in., 86 ends and 70 picks per inch, 2/40's warp, 34's weft, 5-shaft warp satin weave.
